2 Days in Charleston, SC: Travel Guide

East Coast Love!

This was our first time, not only in Charleston, but on the central East Coast in general! We didn’t really know what to expect, but man it exceeded all thoughts and expectations. Charleston is a place where history echoes through cobblestone streets, and Southern hospitality awaits. I’m not sure what was better, though: the beautiful views or the delicious, low country cuisine. We really tried to take full advantage of the delicious southern food in such a short amount of time; we had crab, sushi, fried chicken, biscuits and more. Charleston beckons you with its timeless charm. Keep reading for our FULL Labor Day weekend guide.

Activities

When I am researching activities and things to see in a new city, I wish I found more itineraries that ranked the list of activities they recommend. Everyone’s time is different in a new city and it’s important to be able to prioritize activities that are a MUST versus activities that are nice, but could possibly be skipped. I like to schedule my days and build an itinerary with one MUST item, one TRY TO DO item, and one SKIP item a day in case something happens or we are too tired, we can always hit the MUST item and SKIP the item that’s not as important.
